Hi there, I’m Alex —
Lead Product Designer, professional problem-solver.
I have nearly a decade of experience providing design strategy and creating crisp, user-friendly products backed by research.
To describe myself in 3 words, I’d say:
↳ Tenacious, Resourceful, Supportive
When teammates were asked to describe me, they chose:
↳ Flexible, Diligent, Curious, Compassionate, & "CLUTCHHH"
Most recently, I worked as Staff Designer at Rocket Travel, a Booking Holdings company — designing white-label travel platforms for partners including American and Southwest Airlines, Citi, and U.S. Bank.
In my 5 years at Rocket, I worked with global scrum teams to ship features for millions of users, earning two promotions and the company award for community values along the way.
It’s been a journey…
In a former life, I designed B2B tools for Bluecrew’s tech-driven staffing platform, landing pages and features for Interior Define, and enterprise applications for the global architecture firm Perkins+Will.
Before moving into UX, I worked in the nonprofit world as an analyst with Arabella Advisors and in ed tech with Education Superhighway.
People are usually surprised to learn I studied Social Work (I earned a Masters from UPenn School of Social Policy & Practice).
I believe it sharpened my skills in research and systems thinking, and shaped my inclusive, people-centered approach to design and collaboration.
Outside of work, I stay busy
I run an Etsy shop, where I made 500+ sales in just 3 months, maintaining steady 8.8% conversion rate and 5-star rating — a side project that keeps me learning.
I’m also active in the Queer Design Club and Adolescent & Young Adult (AYA) Cancer Community.
As a cancer survivor (2+ years in remission from Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma), the experience reshaped my perspective — teaching me gratitude, resilience, and the value of community.
Beyond that, I love travel hacking, interior design, curating the perfect playlist, and hanging with our rescue dog Judy.
